6th T2N 50k, 1st ultra attempt

After running a couple of 42k, I made another crazy decision to run longer than a marathon.
I don't know but I'm too curious what's with an Ultramarathon.
After my latest 42k in October, I check the internet for ultrarun schedules.
One that captures my attention is the 6th T2N where in many forums and blogs I've checked, many newbie ultra runners have opt to run on this race.
The forum and and RD of this event mentioned that this is the easiest ultra run they had.
I check the elevation profile and it was a down hill after about 21k so I think it would be easy.
We (with my brother also a participant, my wife and our support crew) arrives at the starting line at 12 midnight, 3 hours ahead of the assembly time, the weather was chilly and the same time windy. We are to early (from Bulacan), we don't want to be late on the assembly time,
I was not able to get a sleep or even a nap on this race since I am not comfortable sleeping in the car.
About 73 participants this time, I think maybe because some runners joined the Milo finals which is also schedule on this day.
So the run was started, dark and cold with rain showers from 5km.
We have completed our target 21k distance on our expected time, and from that 21k, we expect to start a downhill route, but there isn't.
We also don't have support crew from 21k to 31k but we still manage to survive with the help of support crews by other runners.
All the routes are series of downs and ups.....I think the only flat route was during the last 5km.
I have learned many important things on this race that are very help full in joining ultra run. If support crews are allowed, enjoy the benefit of it, make the stop points distance less than 5km (our plan on this race is 5-10km check points). LSD-- 9 Female runners passes us during the race, they are not fast but they don't stop. Use a good socks for a no blister run. More training and preparation on long distance endurance running. Sleep before the race.
I completed this race.
I learned a lot, I enjoyed a lot.
I am an #ULTRARUNNER!
