After completing 4 half marathons, I decided to join the 32k category of Run United 2.
This will be my first official run also that I will be using a minimalist shoes, NB Minimus 10v2. A trail shoes actually but can actually be use on the road.
I did a series of short distance training with this shoes and I'm happy about the result, no sign of ITBS and ankle pains.
The problem is that I am just 2 weeks away from my race and my training are not enough.
My longest run before the race with this shoes is 6.47 miles and the other are just a series of short 5k.
When the race day come, there I was at the 27km distance cramping.
I know my preparation are not enough and I am not yet used to in running on this style.
I myself has proven the advantage of minimalist running, it promotes stronger calf muscle with proper training that takes time.
Training is so important and thats what will I do, I'll be training in in this shoes for more distances and more races.
Ill be better, I'll know.. :)
